East Sonora, CA — There is a motorcycle versus car crash on Highway 108 near Via Este Road in East Sonora. The CHP reports a motorcycle is down and a man is in the roadway. An ambulance is on the way to the scene. Motorists you will want to use caution in the area. We’ll bring you more information as soon as it is available.

Update 6:40pm: The CHP now says the accident is closer to Draper Mine Road and there are major injuries. They report a Honda motorcycle and Mercedes Benz smashed into each other.
Update 7:15pm: The CHP reports the driver of the motorcycle is the only one who suffered major injuries, but there are no details on those injuries. They say the roadway is cleared and traffic is moving freely again.
