Jamestown Woman Hurt In Crash

Sonora, CA — The Sonora Police Department reports that a Jamestown woman was hurt in an accident in front of the former Tuolumne General Hospital.


Kauty Thurman, 55, was riding her motorcycle eastbound on Hospital Road, and she lost control and struck the railroad track. Thurman was ejected from the motorcycle and taken by ambulance to Sonora Regional Medical Center to treat moderate leg and shoulder injuries. The Police Department reports that no other vehicles were involved.
