Crash Creates Traffic Jam On HWY108

Sonora, CA — A rollover crash creates a traffic jam on Highway 108. No one was injured in the crash, but it caused headaches for motorists. It happened around 4:45 this afternoon when a truck pulling a trailer overturned on Highway 108 at the Stockton/HWY49 intersection.

The trailer and a 50 to 100 foot oil spill on the westbound lane of Highway 108 had traffic was backed up to the Lime Kiln Road intersection for about two hours. Initially officers let vehicles go around the accident on the shoulder, but then closed down the intersection for about 30 minutes to upright the trailer and clean up the oil slick. The intersection opened back up a little after 7pm. There were no injuries in the crash.
