Rim Fire: Evacuation Advisories To Be Lifted At Noon

Tuolumne County, CA — Effective at noon today, there will no longer be any advisory evacuation notices along the Highway 108 corridor.

Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Scott Johnson says it includes the areas of Ponderosa Hills, Mi Wuk Village and Pinecrest. He stresses that residents should still stay on alert in the event that the fire activity changes. Extra law enforcement will be in those areas throughout the afternoon as residents return to their homes.

Highway 120 will still remain closed from Buck Meadows to 1 ½ miles east of White Wolf. Highway 120, from Ferretti Road to Buck Meadows, remains open to residents that have homes or businesses.

The Rim Fire is over 235K acres and is 75% contained.
