Council Will Set Hearing On AT&T Tower

Sonora, CA — The Sonora City Council will discuss an appeal to the Planning Commission’s vote regarding an AT&T tower.

It is one of the items on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting. The Planning Commission approved a request last month to allow an AT&T dish receiver on William Street to rise up 12 additional ft. That vote has been appealed by the Tuolumne Heritage Committee, so the City Council is scheduled to set a September 16th hearing to debate the issue.

The Council will also break into closed session to discuss the open Finance Director position, vote on acquiring more property for the Mono Way widening project, and make adjustments to the 2013 fiscal year budget.

Tuesday’s meeting begins at 5pm at Sonora City Hall.
