Sonora, CA — ATCAA is calling for volunteers to help them deliver food to evacuees. If you would like to help you can call 209-984-3960 x102. The only shelter open right now is the Mother Lode Fairgrounds in Sonora. Last night they had 90 evacuees staying in there.
If you cannot volunteer, but want to donate, the Red Cross is asking that you go to their website. The say the best donation is cash so they can buy what they need.
One added note, Belleview Elementary School is closing at 12:45pm due to the smoke from the Rim Fire.
