Valley Springs, CA — Fire Fighters and the Columbia Planes are heading to a vegetation blaze in Calaveras County. It is located on the 6,900 block of Cassidy Road near Ricky Court near Valley Springs. There is no word on rate of spread or whether any structures are involved. We will keep you updated as soon as more information is available.

Update 12:20PM: Cal Fire reports the fire is 4 acres and two structure are threatened at this time.
Update12:45pm: Cal Fire reports forward rate of spread is stopped so no longer any threat to nearby structures.
1:05pm: Cal Fire reports the fire is contained at 4 acres.
