Copperopolis, CA — Fire fighters and the Columbia planes are heading to a vegetation fire in Calaveras County. Flames were reported to dispatch at Sequoia Circle near Feather Drive in Copperopolis at 2:08pm.

Update 2:50pm: The burned area was “only a spot” acording to CAL fire spokesperson Lisa Williams. No structures were threatened, the incident wrapped up at 2:38pm. The cause is unknown at this time. We will bring you more information as soon as it is available.
