California Ag Loses Land, Gains Income

California´s farm owners enter 2002 with 50 thousand fewer acres to farm, because of urban growth. But they also have more money than ever to save their farms for future generations.

Authorities say 2001´s losses continue a trend in which an estimated 500 thousand acres yield to development every decade.
