Pilotless Plane Found

Sonoma County authorities say they have found the light plane that took off from a rural airstrip without a pilot. The tiny Aeronca Champion broke from its moorings and flew off about 4:30 yesterday afternoon while the pilot was working on the engine. A highway patrol plane spotted the wreck this morning near the dam at Lake Berryessa. There was no sign of fire.
