Gary Condit says he couldn´t let “pundits and talking heads´´ keep him from seeking re-election. He also says efforts to link him to intern Chandra Levy´s disappearance last spring were concocted by the national media.
The embattled congressman waited until last Friday´s deadline to file for re-election.
