Police in the city of Orange shot and killed an armed 48-year-old man after a five hour standoff at his home.
Orange Police Sergeant David Hills says the wife of Steven Coleman had called police Friday evening to report her husband had threatened to commit suicide. Police said Coleman also held a gun to his wife´s head before she escaped from their home, and shots were fired from the home at police vehicles during the standoff.
Police said Coleman was fatally wounded when he walked out of the home with a rifle pointed in the direction of officers.
