California Bombing Range Nixed By The Navy

The Navy has dropped plans to use an old military base between Big Sur and Hearst Castle as a practice range for 3,000 bombing missions a year.

Representative Sam Farr says the Navy decided it wouldn´t save much money in reduced fuel costs. That was a major reason for considering Fort Hunter Liggett as a bombing range.
