The recently completed referendum petition against the Mountain Springs Development has been given the green light for signature verification. In October, advocates of the development submitted a letter to the County Clerks Office raising concerns about the validity of the petition. Last Thursday, a legal opinion from an independent counsel determined the concerns were without merit.
After the signatures are verified, the petition will be presented to the County Board of Supervisors.
