The Sonora City Council will consider granting the police department the authority to accept a Federal Law Enforcement Block Grant of over 34,000 dollars tonight. The bulk of the money will go to purchase a modern recording system that will increase efficiency at the police station.
The police will also purchase a used vehicle for the investigations department.
