Firefighters have a 250 acre wildfire 30% percent contained in the Mokelumne River Valley.
The fire broke out in heavy timber and slash shortly after 1:00 p.m. Saturday, and is expected to be surrounded by Wednesday morning. No populated areas are threatened, and there have been no injuries. 476 CDF and U-S Forest Service personnel are being supported by helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. Cause is still under investigation.
