County Health Officials: Anthrax Isn’t Easy To Catch

In the wake of the nationwide anthrax scare, Tuolumne County Health officials stress it is nearly impossible to contract the disease. There are three ways to become ill, either by inhaling, touching or digesting the antrax spore.

The county health department has locally investigated eight cases of suspicious items thought to be contaminated in the mail in the last week, none of the items were found to contain anthrax.
