Slightly more than a third of high school freshmen who took California´s new high school graduation test in
the spring passed its math and English sections.
Results released today show that students fared far better on the language arts portion of the test than in
math. The results also show Hispanic, African-Americans and English-learning students had more difficulty with the exam than others.
