Tuolumne County Supervisors are preparing to appoint a new film commission board, as part of a major
restructuring. The commission will become a separate county entity, rather than part of the Visitors bureau as it has been in the past.
The move will give
the Commission more legal fire power. Recent lawsuits have drained the film bureau budget, undermining the effort to attract film companies to the Mother
Lode. Supervisors meet at 9:00 this morning.
