A new state audit finds major problems with the DMV´s attempt to combat identity theft.

audit says the Department of Motor Vehicles has no reliable way of verifying that people who apply for driver´s licenses and identification cards are who they
claim to be.
The audit says the DMV lacks the technology to use fingerprint matches to verify the identity of driver´s license and ID card
applicants.
