Farm labor contractors who fail to pay field workers could face minimum fines of up to 25-thousand dollars
under legislation signed by Governor Davis. The measure is part of a two-bill package designed to crack down on unscrupulous contractors who hire farm
workers and then don´t pay them for the work they do.
