Good news for California´s wine industry.
The Senate Appropriations Committee has approved
more than 16 million dollars to battle the glassy-winged sharpshooter and the vine-killing disease it carries.
The money is part of the 2002 Agriculture
Appropriations Bill.
The bill contains almost 11 million dollars for research into Pierce´s disease.
