Services Set for Long-Time Sonora Educator

A “Celebration of Life” service is scheduled this Saturday for Robert “Bob” Buck, a long-time teacher and
coach in Tuolumne County. Buck died last Thursday at the age of 71.

He coached Varsity and Junior Varsity Track, Cross-country, Football,
Basketball and Baseball, and was instrumental in the development of several programs and facilities at Sonora High School.

Buck retired in 1986, but
continued teaching and tutoring on a part-time basis. In all, he spent more than 35 years as an educator.

The service will be at 11:00 Saturday morning,
March 17th, in the sonora Elks Lodge. A Pot Luck lunch and no-host bar will follow.
