The manager of California´s power grid has
declared a Stage Two shortage because of a drop in
electricity imports from the Pacific Northwest.
Officials at the Independent System Operator in the Sacramento suburb of Folsom say the imports are
down 16-hundred megawatts from yesterday.
They did not immediately have an explanation for the decline.
The alert is the first since March
5th and is scheduled to last until 10 o´clock tonight.
