An apparent accidental death happened in the woods behind the River Ranch Campground yesterday.
Tuolumne County deputies answered a cell phone call shortly after 10 am from a companion, and confirmed 79 year old Paul Lesser was dead at the
scene.
Lesser´s companion said the two had been cutting a tree down, with a rope attached to control the fall. The rope reportedly snapped and struck
the Soulsbeyville man in the neck.
