Details regarding the sale of Amador County radio station K-N-G-T are not easy to come by.
According the Federal Communications Commission records, the local FM station was reportedly purchased by First Broadcasting Co. LP of Dallas, Texas from Gold County Communications, Inc. in late August of this year for $2.5 million.
Phone calls to K-Nugget radio station General Manager Larry Rutter have not been returned. First Broadcasting also will not release any information about the sale or future plans for the radio station.
The change of ownership of the station to First Broadcasting is said to take place January 1.
