Sacramento County sheriff’s officials say one person was killed when a car drove into the path of a school bus this morning. Authorities say the driver of a small white car lost control and skidded across a median and struck the school bus head-on around 8:30 a.m.
The school bus driver was the only person on the bus at the time. A passenger in the car died at the scene and the driver was taken by helicopter to University of California, Davis, Medical Center.
The bus driver was treated for cuts and bruises. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
