Federal prosecutors are working to officially extradite a 27-year fugitive James Kilgore from South Africa.
Officials say the extradition request may take three to eight weeks, depending on whether Kilgore contests the request or not. He was a member of the Symbionese Liberation Army accused of a 1975 bank robbery and murder in the Sacramento area.
