Serious Cases Being Diverted From Tuolumne General

Clean up after Friday night´s Flash Flood is continuing at Tuolumne County General Hospital. The flood ripped through the hospital as well as stores in the Sonora Plaza, Mono Way, and on South Washington Street, leaving a thick coating of gooey mud and debris in its wake.

Head Nurse Noreen Richardson says most of the damage was limited to the basement area. She says any serious trauma or surgery cases are still being transferred to Sonora Community Hospital.

Richardson says the hospital will be open for surgery some time Monday.
