Rural Counties Turn Out To Vote

Tuolumne County was among the top rural county for voter turnout Nov. 5th with 62.3 percent.

Results from Tuesday show highest turnouts in rural northern counties. Tiny Alpine County has turned in the state’s record high voter turnout — at seventy percent.

Those with high voter turnout include Amador, Colusa, Modoc, Mono, Nevada, Plumas, Sierra, Trinity and Tuolumne counties. Calaveras County showed a 59.7 percent turnout this election.
