The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department has two new tools to help keep boaters safe on the county´s five lakes.
The department just signed a lease with Honda for two personal watercrafts for deputies. The leases cost the department just $1 each.
Calaveras County ranks 11th worst in the state for the number of boating accidents, and the sheriff´s department will use the new watercraft to enforce safe boating laws.
