An out-of-control golf cart sent a Riverbank man to the hospital yesterday.
The California Highway Patrol was called out to investigate the wreck at the La Contenta Golf Club in Valley Springs and report that 51-year-old David Chaves of Turlock lost control of his golf cart and hit a curb.
The cart rolled, ejecting Chaves and 26-year-old Dennis Carey, who was taken to Mark Twain Hospital with a sprained knee. Carey was treated and released.
