First days of school at Calaveras High School turned violent Thursday when two 16-year-old students were involved in a fight. Calaveras County deputies say one of the boys was cut in the arm by a sharp rock taken by the other youth from a classroom.
The assailant was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and petty theft and taken to the juvenile probation department for booking.
