Full containment is expected today on the Showers fire near Lake Tahoe.
The 380-acre blaze ignited Monday in heavy timber when a small plane crashed in the rugged terrain about three miles south of Echo Summit.
Two bodies were recovered from the wreckage, though their identities have not been determined. Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board officials assumed control of the site this morning, trying to determine the cause of the crash.
