Calaveras County deputies from the Narcotics Enforcement Unit uncovered a clandestine methamphetimine lab in Angels Camp during a probation search yesterday afternoon.
Officers say they found a bunker hidden under some camouflage at the property in the 2,700 block of Hunter in the “Bar 20” area. Two Hispanic men were detained after deputies saw one discard a handgun in the brush. Officers say they also located about 14 marijuana plants growing nearby.
