Christmas “”Grinches”” Arrested

Two brothers were arrested on suspicion of stealing Christmas trees and the money attached to them that were intended for the Boy Scouts.

Thirty-eight-year-old Ismael Cordova and his 18-year-old brother Pedro were arrested yesterday for allegedly taking the trees that residents had left on their curbsides.

The Boy Scouts typically pick up the trees for recycling. They don´t charge for the service, but residents often leave a monetary donation attached to the tree.

Residents say they saw the two load the trees into the rear of their hatchback Ford Escort. While some residents called police, one followed the men and told police where they were. The men were found with the checks and cash that had been attached to the trees, but the trees were still missing.
