P.G. & E. Sues State

Pacific Gas and Electric has filed a 4.1 billion dollar lawsuit against the state, saying officials kept the company from selling power during last year´s energy crisis. The company says the state violated the 1996 deregulation law that allows utilities sell electricity at market rates. As a result, the company says it lost out on the chance to make more than the four billion dollars.
