Nevada has been awarded one million dollars to better prepare hospitals for bioterrorist attacks or disease outbreaks.
The federal grant will be used by hospitals to assess needs and develop response plans should such events occur. It will also help fund the necessary improvements.
The grant was announced today in a joint statement issued by Nevada´s U-S Senators, Democrat Harry Reid and Republican John Ensign.
