A Taft man has been convicted of killing a man he suspected had molested his 3-year-old son. Kevin Peevy faces life in prison for the 1993 shooting death of John Robert Harris.
Prosecutors say Peevy picked up Harris while Harris was hitchhiking home from a bar, took him to an isolated area and shot him three times.
