Fire units knocked down a small grass fire on the 1300 block of Lakeside Drive off Dogtown Road in the Angels Camp area around 12:45 p.m. this afternoon. The blaze was held to about a half acre.
Another small brush fire off Tuolumne Road this afternoon was confined to a 50-foot-by-50-foot patch of thick vegetation in the Monte Grande Heights area. Tuolumne County and CDF units responded around 2 p.m. Friday.
