Wal-Mart Evacuated By Bomb Threat

Several hundred shoppers were evacuated from the Sonora Wal-Mart store this morning after someone called in a bomb threat.

Sonora Police and Tuolumne County Sheriff deputies closed the retailer just before 11 a.m. keeping after-Christmas shoppers in the parking lot while store security officials searched for the bomb. None was found and shoppers and employees were allowed back into the store about an hour later.
