A West Point Man was killed and his passenger seriously injured over the weekend in a single car crash.
The highway patrol says 67 year old Douglas Hatch apparently feel asleep at the wheel while driving south on Highway 49 near River Ranch Road Saturday morning. The car ran off the highway went down an embankment and slammed into a tree. Hatch and passenger 63 year-old Judith Monk of Mesa Arizona were taken to Mark Twain Hospital. Hatch was then airlifted to Doctor Medical Center where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Monk is listed in stable condition at Memorial hospital.
