A former Fresno County sheriff´s homicide detective convicted of involuntary manslaughter has been released from jail pending his sentencing.

Kenneth Badiali already served more than three years in the Madera County Jail while awaiting trial. His lawyer says it appears he won´t have to serve any more time.
