A Valley Springs man was killed yesterday evening in a solo motorcycle crash.
The highway patrol says 47 year-old Michael Weidel was westbound on Highway 26 near Double Springs Road in Valley Springs when he lost control of his 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle, ran off the roadway, struck a barbed wire fence and was thrown from the bike. He died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.
