A federal judge has turned down a Lake County Indian tribe´s request for West Sacramento land to build a casino. The Upper Lake Band of Pomo Indians argued that the land would fulfill a 1983 court order that tribe´s property be restored.
But a federal judge says the order only applies to land on or near its original Lake County rancheria.
