Judge: Funding Cut Legal

A Judge has ruled that the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors acted within the law when they cut special education funding in January.

The Tri-County Special Education Local Plan Area had sued the county to try to get the money back. Tuolumne County Supervisors cut funding for outpatient and residential costs, shortly after Governor Davis announced a nearly $35 billion state budget shortfall.
