Going To Bat For Beef

The American Farm Bureau and other farm groups have gone to bat for national beef promotions. The groups filed a “friend of the court” brief with the U.S. Supreme Court, asking it to reverse a lower court ruling that threatens the beef program. The program collects $1 dollar for each head of cattle marketed, to conduct generic beef advertising. The farm groups say the court case could affect other generic promotion efforts.
