Driving While Medicated Causes Wreck, Injury

A 5-year-old Jamestown girl received minor injuries this afternoon after a single-vehicle wreck.

48-year-old Gwen Ellen Taylor was in her 99 Chevy Tahoe driving with three kids on Jamestown Road north of Rawhide Road.

Other motorists called 9-1-1 after watching Taylor´s SUV driving unsafely, between 15 and 20 miles per hour.

The vehicle went off the right side of the road, hit a utility pole and glanced off, then went back across the road before finally hitting a barbed wire fence and coming to a stop.

5-year-old Felicity Taylor suffered a minor cut to the scalp and was taken to Tuolumne General Hospital for treatment. She was the only one hurt.

Mrs. Taylor was arrested and booked at the Tuolumne County Jail for driving under the influence of prescription medications.
