Details Released in Mountain Ranch Wreck

We have more information on that major injury wreck from yesterday morning on Mountain Ranch Road in Calaveras County.

An unidentified 16-year-old girl from Valley Springs received major injuries and was flown to St. Joseph´s Hospital in Stockton. She suffered major injuries in the crash, and had to be cut out of the wreckage of her 99 Honda CRV. A 17-year-old girl from Valley Springs, also in the car, received moderate injuries and was taken to Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital.

41-year-old Pablo Casillas had to be flown via CHP helicopter to Sutter Roseville Hospital in Roseville.

After the teenager´s car drifted off the right side of the road, she overcorrected, the car started to spin and went into the oncoming lane. That´s where Casillas was driving eastbound in his pickup. The vehicles collided broadside causing the major damage and injuries.

Mountain Ranch Road was closed for over an hour and a half Wednesday morning.
