Pair Arrested in Copperopolis Embezzling Case

Two people were arrested in an embezzling case in Copperopolis over the weekend. The owner of the Payless Market reported to Calaveras County sheriff´s deputies Saturday that one of his employees, 20-year-old Jessica Pettinichio, had taken 32-thousand dollars, and that he had her on videotape doing it.

Reports say the thefts had been occurring since September, and the suspect admitted to using a manager´s PIN code to obtain the money.

The suspect´s husband, 34-year-old Vincent Pettinchio was also arrested, and charged with using stolen money to purchase items.
